MAKING AN IMPACT: YIDAN PRIZE LAUREATES 2017 AND 2018

A moderated discussion of what past Yidan Prize laureates have accomplished since receiving the award with practical examples and ideas for taking their work and their cooperation with other Yidan Prize laureates forward. They will especially focus on the aspects of their work, which they found to have truly global appeal, and discuss projects that have resulted from having been awarded with Yidan Prize in previous years.

WORLDWIDE EDUCATING FOR THE FUTURE INDEX (WEFFI) 2019

WEFFI was founded by the Yidan Prize Foundation, which commissioned The Economist Intelligence Unit to produce the index. WEFFI 2019 analyses inputs in education to show how economies are preparing their youth for the demands of the future.

Moderated debate about established educational practices and new trends in the West and the East among speakers, who are products of each system, as well as notable voices in education in their own right. What lessons can we draw and apply to our local communities by looking at best practices from both camps?

EQUAL ACCESS: ENABLING TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION FOR ALL

Necessity is the mother of all innovation. There is a global push to ensure future generations are armed with the right skills to keep up with the pace of technological progress, as well as to advance it. The panellists are going to discuss how they’re helping brake down the barriers for equal participation in the technology sector in their communities, including by working with primary school aged children to ensure they’re school ready and have access to computer hardware and tech instruction.
