H.E. Dr. Ahmed AI Eissa

Dr. Ahmed Al Eissa is the current Minister of Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.  His professional experience reflects over 20 years of successful educational leadership characterized by visionary outlook, progressive advancement and consistent achievement. He is a respected scholar and practitioner, and a national proponent of Saudi educational reform. His comprehensive executive experience in college and university administration: devise effective institutional development plans including long and short-term strategies; conceive and implement new academic programs to meet community needs; develop innovative curricula; establish strategic partnerships and alliances with leading international educational and business organizations.

Prior to his appointment as Education Minister, he was the Vice Chairman of Riyadh Schools Board from 2012 until 2016; the Chairman of the MISK School Board from 2013 to 2015; and the Co-Founder and President of Al Yamamah University in Riyadh from 2001 until 2009. He was also the Dean of Riyadh College of Technology from 1993 till 2001.

He graduated with BA in Liberal Arts from King Saud University, Riyadh in 1982 and obtained his Masters (MA) and Doctorate Degree (PhD) in Curriculum and Instruction at the Pennsylvania State University, USA during the period 1987-1993.
